a reactive sound experiment
Chlorine is an immersive exploration of dynamic contrasts, built on the foundation of an iconic Oberheim OB-Xa demo theme. The track weaves a bold narrative, where brass instruments punctuate the soundscape with a sharp, metallic edge, reflecting the chemical element’s corrosive and volatile nature. The oscillators dance in consonance, creating a vibrant harmonic texture, while the rhythm sways with hard, jazzy swings during the solos. Variations on the central theme unfold like waves, evolving and shifting, embodying the reactive and transformative qualities of chlorine itself.

Archetype 8
eSequential is a a dialogue between past and present, a journey sparked
by the discovery of my father’s old demo tapes—recorded decades ago on the
very same Oberheim OB-Xa. These lost fragments of sound, rich with analog warmth
and raw emotion, became the foundation for this album. In some tracks, his original themes
remain intact, while in others, I have expanded upon his ideas, weaving new textures and harmonies
around them. Through this process, the music became a conversation across time – an exploration of memory,
reinvention, and the enduring power of synthesis.
Six elements, six sonic manifestations. This album is a fusion of chemistry & sound, where each track embodies
the essence of a halogen or its elusive cousin, tennessine. The volatile bite of fluorine, the corrosive allure of
chlorine, the deep resonance of bromine—each element’s nature is woven into the fabric of the music,
influencing instrument choice, effects, and the alchemy of mixing and mastering. Some tracks sear,
others dissolve, some linger like radioactive echoes. Through the lens of synthesis, this is not
just an exploration of sound, but a reimagining of the elemental forces that shape our world.
